Imperialism 101 Nice propaganda poster. Help the imperialist Busheviks demonize Muqtada al-Sadr. We know that the US executed Saddam for two reasons: one, to prevent him from coming to trial for crimes where US administrations were effectively accomplices (indeed this is the sole reason was not tried in the Hague, as Milosevic was; two, to further attack and divide Iraqi nationalism along sectarian lines. Al-Sadr is an Iraqi nationalist first and a Shiit second. He has called for Shia and Sunni to unite to fight the imperialist occupation. Thus, it has been imperative for the imperialist occupation to prevent this eventuality at any cost. This is the reason the US has chosen the "Salvador option" in order to incite a sectarian civil war. Al-Sadr's group is the primary target in Baghdad. Know one knows who cried out "Muqtada lives" at Saddam's hanging, or why. More than likely its main purpose, and the main purpose of the "leaked" "unofficial" video, was to deepen the divide between Sunni and Shiit, and further damage even the remote possibility of a united resistance to the occupation in Iraq. This poster is a part of that imperialist demonization of al-Sadr campaign. A standard imperialist divide and conquer ploy. Blue |
