I must assume you never found the time to read John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt’s book:
The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy? Or maybe you did. In today’s America
no serious candidate for president dares cross the Israel Lobby.
You dragged out the same old propaganda; Iran seeks nuclear weapons
(contrary to the most recent NIE report), Iran denies the Holocaust (a
tactless publicity stunt by Ahmadinejad) and Iran vows to “wipe Israel
off the map” (a deliberate mistranslation). Where have we heard this
garbage before? Don’t tell me you don’t know.
Sure, you
proceeded to make a strong case for… diplomacy. I hope you meant that
part. However, that robust speech before AIPAC has
seriously damaged your diplomatic credibility in the Middle East. Good luck. Should you be elected even after this blunder, you’ll need it.
Let me tell you something Barack old buddy; a fair number of concerned
Americans are wising up. They are tired of the disastrous Bush regime
and are beginning to connect the dots.
We have been played for
as fools, not just by the Bush/Chaney Empire but also by our “friend”
Israel and the Neocon think tanks closely tied to the
Israel Lobby. And surprise, surprise… we’re sick and tired of it!
You were our last hope.
What you’ve just done is not only kowtow to the Israel lobby, shock and anger much of the sane world but you, in
one speech, have quite possibly dealt the death blow to the democratic republic known as the United States of America… as well as
any chance for
any sort of peace in the Middle East.
George W. Bush whom you pretend to disagree with destroyed the
republic. And now you may have destroyed the democracy. Why should any
of us bother to vote now? As usual in American presidential elections
we are offered a choice between the lesser of two evils, not a choice
between the two best qualified. History has proven time and again
Americans are excellent at choosing the worse possible candidate. It
looks like we have two real stinkers again.
Our choices are now narrowed down to the
Neocon John McCain, who
will
proceed in the footsteps of the worst president America has ever had,
George W. Bush or you, Barack Obama another two-bit, slime coated
politician who will
kiss the ass
of those who pull the strings of power… rather than stand up for
integrity and the American public. I guess, winning isn’t the only
thing, it’s everything.
How can
any, knowledgeable American have
any faith whatsoever in our system after
that speech of yours
before AIPAC? I guess you’ve proven my point that anyone actually
qualified for the title President of the United States doesn’t stand a
chance.
So with this shamefully bone-headed speech of yours,
those who would have supported you in favor of John McCain will now
abstain from voting. As a result, McCain will probably win. God help us
all. What’s the point? Why not declare the United States a colony of
Israel and let the Israelis decide who shall be our “leader?”
Ok, Barack… despite all this you still get my vote. I refuse to give in
to cynical fatalism. A vote for McCain or an abstention is a vote for
Armageddon. You are
still the lesser of two evils. You
still
have the chance to start the U.S. back on the right track. But mark my
words; you are on shaky grounds. Your credibility is in serious doubt
worldwide and should you win… by some miracle… from now on, you will be
watched like a hawk.
So much for Camelot.
