Zionist leaders have taught that Israel can only exist, that it can only have peace and security, by beating the Palestinians (and indeed the entire Arab world) into total submission to its demands. Since the earliest days, Zionist leaders have recognized the need to forcefully dictate terms of surrender to the Palestinians, to the Arab world, even to all the Jews of the diaspora, in order to colonize the land formerly known as Israel. The central demand in this involuntary agreement calls for a Jewish majority to be established in Eretz Yisrael by physical intimidation (including the West Bank and Gaza) and absolute Israeli dominance over all the land of “Greater Israel” (from southern Turkey to the Nile River, all the way to the Euphrates River). [1]
The militant teachings of Vladimir (“Wolf”) Jabotinsky, the father of Jewish self-defense and creator of the Iron Wall doctrine, have formed the basis for for much of the Israeli government policies toward the native Palestinian population.
[2] The Iron Wall doctrine envisioned by him has been given physical form in the great wall dividing them from the Palestinians. [3] These policies call for the use force, restrictions and imposed suffering, to drive the Palestinians to desperation and eventual resignation to their imposed fate. To quote David Ben-Gurion, "We must use terror, assassination, intimidation, land confiscation, and the cutting of all social services to rid the Galilee of its Arab population." [4] (David Ben-Gurion, May 1948, to the General Staff. From Ben-Gurion, A Biography, by Michael Ben-Zohar, Delacorte, New York 1978)
Jabotinsky taught future Zionists that to negotiate with the Palestinians, or even to give them the hope of fair negotiations, is to undermine the only viable solution to the “Palestinian problem,” which is a violently imposed settlement, on Zionist terms. The Iron Wall doctrine [5] was intended to leave the Palestinians with one possible solution, accept Israel’s terms, to avoid complete expulsion. This is the essence of militant Zionism. The solution to Israel’s “Palestinian problem” is almost a mirror image of some of the elements of Germany’s solution to its “Jewish problem.” Israel’s “final solution” is modeled after the tactics of the more infamous European “final solution.”
To this end, it was advisable to encourage the Palestinian militants into attempting suicidal self-defense, in order to teach them the futility of resistance. The notoriously controversial Koenig Report/Memorandum [6] highlights a series of punitive measures intended to educate the angry Palestinians with these lessons of Zionism. This fits in with the covert Israeli policies that have been enacted since then, which fostered the creation of Hamas, [7] as a means to agitate and radicalize the Arabs and bleed the PLO. These policies of promoting radicalism were cited by former UN Ambassador Alvaro de Soto, when he turned in his resignation in protest of Israel policies [8]
Israeli policies seemed to be "perversely designed to encourage the continued action by Palestinian militants."
....and United States and UN support of those policies. [9]
American pressure has "pummelled into submission" the UN's role as an
impartial Middle East negotiator…the boycott [of Gaza]… transformed the
Quartet… into a body that was all-but imposing sanctions on a freely
elected government of a people under occupation as well as setting
unattainable preconditions for dialogue"
Jabotinsky’s violent theories were reflective of the teachings of the
founder of modern Zionism Theodor Herzl, who postulated that the key to
establishing a Zionist homeland in the land of Palestine was to
encourage the forces of anti-Semitism, in order to force the Jews out
of Europe. [10]
"It is essential that the sufferings of Jews. . . become worse. . .
this will assist in realization of our plans. . .I have an excellent
idea. . . I shall induce anti-semites to liquidate Jewish wealth. . .
The anti-semites will assist us thereby in that they will strengthen
the persecution and oppression of Jews. The anti-semites shall be our
best friends".
Additional quotes from Herzl echo this position, from p. 68 of Part I of his Diary:
“So anti-Semitism, which is a deeply imbedded force in the subconscious
mind of the masses, will not harm the Jews. I actually find it to be
advantageous to building the Jewish character, education by the masses
that will lead to assimilation. This education can only happen through
suffering, and the Jews will adapt.
Herzl was one of the first to hit on the idea of recreating the plans
of the anti-Semites in Palestine, with the Arabs as the intended target
of the anti-Semitism. [11]
"The removal of Arabs bodily from Palestine is part of the Zionist plan
to "spirit the penniless population across the frontier by denying it
employment...Both the process of expropriation and the removal of the
poor must be carried away discreetly and circumspectly."
(THEODORE HERZL founder of the World Zionist Organization Complete
Diaries, June 12, 1895 entry.) In his book Der Judenstaat (The Jewish
State), [12] he identified Jewish comfort in their assimilation in
other nations as a problem for Zionism, which had to be disturbed by
creative brushes with anti-Semitism.
Jabotinsky formulated his “evacuation plan,” [13] which called for the
physical removal of all Jews, against their will, from Poland, Hungary
and Romania. He negotiated with those governments to enact it, but it
wasn’t carried out. He proposed the same solution in Palestine: [14]
"We Jews, thank God, have nothing to do with the East. . . . The
Islamic soul must be broomed out of Eretz-Yisrael. . . . [Muslims are]
yelling rabble dressed up in gaudy, savage rags." (Expulsion Of The
Palestinians, Jabotinsky, p. 29)
Just before his death, in 1940, he was singing the praises of using
Hitler’s idea of ethnic cleansing against the Arabs, thereby creating
massive refugee populations in the exodus:
"The world has become accustomed to the idea of mass migrations and has
become fond of them." He later added, "Hitler--- as odious as he is to
us---has given this idea a good name in the world." (One Palestine
Complete, p. 407)
The brutal policies of the Wolf were carried on by modern Israeli
leaders. "Rafael Eitan, Chief of Staff of the Israeli Defense Forces
(Gad Becker, Yediot Ahronot 13 April 1983, New York Times 14 April
1983) is reported to have said:
"We declare openly that the Arabs have no right to settle on even one
centimeter of Eretz Israel... Force is all they do or ever will
understand. We shall use the ultimate force until the Palestinians come
crawling to us on all fours
The Final Solution for the Palestinians is that they are the Arabs’
problem. Only Jews have a “right of return” to Israel. The Zionists
have sought to make them into a refugee people in their own country,
without rights or hope, even as they were made into a refugee
population, after they were expelled from their desert home. The
Palestinians cannot be allowed their own "right of return." The
Palestinian claim to the same right demanded by the Zionists is
considered to be an obstacle to peace. [15] It is considered to be an
attempt to demographically overrun Israel, a “back-door attempt to
destroy Israel and deny our right to exist... Palestine and the Arab
states, not Israel, are the solution to the refugee problem.” For
Zionism to work, Palestinians cannot be allowed to have rights.
Vladimir Jabotinsky was Founder of the Betar Youth Movement, Founder of
the Jewish Legion, Founder of the Irgun, a participating founder of the
Likud Party, with former Israeli Prime Minister and commander of Betar
in Poland, Menachim Begin. He was a close personal friend of Rabbi
Charles Kahane, father of Rabbi Meir Kahane, head of the Jewish Defense
League.
The Betar Youth movement is a militant ideological movement that both
indoctrinates young Zionist men and provides them with military
training. [16] Such a facility in the Islamic world would be called a
“terrorist training camp.” Similar efforts in Nazi Germany produced
thousands of “Hitler youth.” The CIA followed this pattern of
indoctrination and paramilitary training in its Islamic training camps
in the war against the Soviets in Afghanistan. Replication of these
camps and tactics throughout the Islamic world has produced the
generation of Islamic militant terrorists that fight the United States
all over the world today. America’s use of militant Zionist tactics has
produced the flood of refugees that plague the Middle East and caused
our defeat in the war on terrorism. American support of Israel, as it
enforces these brutal policies, not only makes us complicit in Israel’s
ethnic cleansing, it reinforces stereotypical idea that the war on
terrorism is really a crusade against all Islam. [17]
Some of Jabotinsky’s slogans: [18]
"Jewish Youth Learn to Shoot!
"We shall create, with sweat and blood, a race of men, strong, brave and cruel."
"Eliminate the Diaspora, before it eliminates you."
“You cannot have humane Zionism, it is a contradiction in terms."
(David Ben Gurion, 1956, quoted by Nahum Goldmann in The Jewish
Paradox, Weidenfeld and Nicolson, 1978, p.99) Zionism cannot succeed
without anti-Semitism, whether the targets of its anger are Arabs or
Jews. [19], [20], [21], [22], [23], [24], [25]
