Israel dragged the U.S. into this mess thinking they can get rid of the bad guys. Unfortunately all Israel has managed to do is weaken its only guarantor and as I have said many times, Israel will pay dearly for this foolish adventure. The U.S. will strike Iran (it makes sense) and justify it the attack by blaming the failures of the invasion on them. This will also have the desired effect of weakening Syria and Hizbollah. The irony of all this, is that Bush's misadventure might actually resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and should end all problems in the Middle East, other than the new ones America created in its war on terror. - Sam68 Mon, 18 Dec 2006 00:58:25 +0100
