Let's all just move way! Leave the good ol USA. That solution to energy, water, and environment makes about as much sense as this article. If I understand the author, we should abandon nuclear power because it's a energy/environment solution proposed by Bush/Chaney.

Nuclear power has been with us since the 1950's. Our 100 commercial power plants have been supplying clean energy on a massive scale for 50 years without one loss of life as a result of nuclear causes. This is, by the way, a far better record than either natural gas or coal fired plants. We, as a country, are in desperate need of new power plants and should aggressively be building coal, natural gas, and most of all, nuclear generating capacity. Our aging power plants are in the same shape as our aging gas refineries. Just a hiccup in the on line electric power generation system can cause horrific problems in our cities including death to many of our citizens.

All this "not in my backyard" and "look out, someone might make a profit" and - and is possibly the largest threat to the security and well being of out great country.

It might do Mr. Jon Block and his buddies good to walk through the center of L.A. during the next major electrical outage.

Just so you all know, I'm proud of our President. - David McGrath
