This is definately the stupidest thing I've read in awhile.

Mrs. Horn, your writting is terrible; Do you even have your grade 10? or were you to busy hoofing exhaust fumes instead of learning who to write. - guest
The Mohawks have no army or weapons and never provoked a confrontation with anyone.
I think I just peed myself laughing so hard...

The Mohawk Defense of Kanasetake
These figures total more than $200 million and are rising. To put the cost of the crisis in some sort of context, it is about 10 times what the federal government budgets for land claims settlements each year. It is more than half the $355 million that Prime Minister Mulroney grandly promised recently to spend over five years to speed up the land claims settlements. It is, needless to say, far more than the land claimed by the Mohawks (and sought by the town of Oka for a golf course) is worth on the market.
Wow, way to have caused a 1/5th of a Billion dollars to go down the toilet. Well done, indeed. - Lover of fine Canadian humour

What is this about " UAV's can apparently shape shift, making themselves look like Coke cans" Who made the technology for that, hmm? That sounds like something from Transformers.
But it was funny, I must admit. Really lightened my day. - Lynzi

"The Customs and Border Patrol is controlled out of “Riverside, California”, in the heart of Silicon Valley." Really??? On which map?

"Canada is not under military threat from anyone, except perhaps the U.S." And how do you exactly define "military threat"? Perhaps being mentioned as a valid target by one of (if not the biggest) titular head of a terrorist organization should be part of that definition?

"Both can carry and launch bombs. In April 2006 it was used to monitor the Sierra Vista border area. It crashed and was replaced in November by two more, costing $10 million annually. One of two bought in 2007 will be used on the Canadian border as a “demo”, based out of Grand Forks, North Dakota. In other words, they’re aiming their missiles northward.Canada..." And where is your proof that these patrol UAV's are armed?

"This UAV can carry and shoot “Hellfire Missiles” developed by the CIA and tested over Bosnia in 1993." The Hellfire missile was developed for the AH-64 Apache attack helicopter. This has been in use in 1990 during The Gulf War. The CIA doesn't develop weaponry. And in fact, the AGM-114 Hellfire has been in production since the early 1980's produced by Martin Marietta and Rockwell International.

In future, kindly do multiple checks on your facts before publishing it. This article is factually suspicious and extremely biased. -

This twisted narrative is so entirely faulty it is hard to believe any human can think these things. The article is full of errors at every level, even starting with the most basic things like company names, places, people and numbers. And one of the most ridiculous assertions is the one about CF recruiting - the Canadian Forces are not going to recruit 11,000 soldiers per year. That is the most ludicrous idea I can think of - there is no way that could happen unless there was another world war and we had conscription. Canada's armed forces have been between 60,000 and 75,000 people for the last 20 years. The plan announced is to add a total of 11,000 people, so that the military will have about 80,000 total personnel.

This article is so riddled with the most basic errors and outlandish ideas that even Mohawk people who see other Canadians and the Canadian gov't as their enemies would be stupid to listen to this moron and not seek the truth regarding many pieces of information here. - Reasonable person

Wow. I guess the whole world revolves around this author. The author has no sense of the world outside of southern Ontario - and even then I wonder. This is just someone taking a series of press releases and twisting them until they back up the author's agenda. How about actually taking a look at the rest of the world - seeing how dangerous it really is and then writing something that resembles an informed article. - Jim

Funny I am in Afghanistan and it seems we are here to help these people, your site full of lies and mistruths would have us believe otherwise. There are lots of Native Canadians in the CF and your article is a nice way of saying you hate anyone in the CF. 30 billion dollars over 20 years is nothing and if ignorant people such as you had any idea how small the CF is you would be amazed. If a time of crisis happens in Canada people with journalistic skills (or lack of them) will be the first ones to complain "where is our military?" The answer would be simple, Canada never wanted to invest in it. For example people like yourelfs whine about Afghanistan (which our contribution of fighting troops is very small) but if we pulled out you and your "conspiracists clan" would be the first to cry that we are not helping the "poor" oppressed Afghan people! Thanks for hating your Canadian Military, fear not despite your ignorance we would still do our best if you needed us.

Ungratefully yours. - Jon
