I think the people at the very top of the social triangle will be the ones who will be best prepared with creating either ecovillages, intentional communities or even civilisations because it is those selfish manipulative people who will end this modern civilisation in the first place. The very rich will have plenty of warning of an imminent attack of a nuclear or financial meltdown, while most of the population will cease to exist.
