I don't believe the big fish will let dubya call that shot (though I'm sure he'd love to call it). So many already hate dubya that -- were he to slam the door -- public reaction might be stronger than the big fish would like. If they leave it to a "liberal" on the other hand, he or she could step out onto the White House porch and scoff at lefty protesters, saying something like "Even [u]The New Republic[/u] favors martial law!" When I think back to 1974, I recall Hunter S. Thompson saying he felt cheated because he was NOT on Nixon's list of enemies. Were he alive today, I wonder if he'd say the same about NOT being on the Bush administration's shit list.
