Well, I have. I've been to a few. They were fun celebrations of life in response to the days when people lived in fear. On the other hand, watching the so-called Christians attack others and try to obtain power and control by demonizing others is scary. Perhaps your guest poster above wants a return to the old days of fear and violence. Perhaps they even support the use of deceit and fear to manipulate other people for power and wealth. The conservative religious leaders are so good at these games. Real morals involves improving lives and ending oppression. False morals and empty faith involves unthinking devotion to a leader who uses the specter of people who are different to frighten the believers and increase their personal power. Real faith leads to equality of all and false faith leads to a concentration of power in the hands of the religious conservatives who destroy others for power and money. The sheeple will never learn, and the only way to fix this problem is to make sure that our public schools offer a better educational system in order to better inform them of the Evil-doers (as Bush used to say) that are currently in office, and those that are in churches. Most people dont even understand what the big problem is with Bush's Faith initiatives program. Mel, your article fully explains this. After all that preacher has been accused of thieving of hundreds of thousands of dollars, which a lot of it was tax free. Plus through his idiot plan, he also provides more money in addition to the stolen... Anyway, some day, the sheeple will learn, when the elders that created them die out.
