Anyway, he has already decided to order a preventative aerial and naval bombardment of Iran. Iran's stated strategy is escalation. In fact, Iran has issued orders to their troops to go to ground in the case of an American attack, pre-programming an escalatory response. Frankly, I think the American people and Bush's inner circle underestimate Iran's retalitory response. Perhaps they will target Saudi Arabias oil facilities, or sponsor chemical/biological attacks on the US homeland. Overall, I doubt that the US suspects how long or how intense the war with Iran will be if they preventatively attack even just a few nuclear facilities in Iran.
